The Unseating of King Trump through Viceroy Biden
In my hands I see callous bribes. Though my children I begat legal opportunities. It matters not as I slew an infidel.
A KING’S REFLECTION
In a room late at night sits a man. His eyes crease from worry. He knows what the verdict means. He began every attack to discredit opposition. He slew friend and foe alike to attain his goal.
His eyes have trouble reading the results of his mission. He started his mission with honest intention, but dishonest practices were all he knew.
Anything based on a lie cannot become true. The ends never justify the means. A hard lesson he must learn now. Especially at the end of his life.
His rise to the top was chaotic but inherited. He quietly inherited more than 100 million. Full of distrust. He leveraged the legal system as a king leverages an army.
Brute force died in the 1970s. No more mob tactics worked in this land. He was a product of a not too distant past. Still his riches were obtained when technology was not a deciding factor. He lives now through an age where his words cannot overshadow facts.
Too many options. Too many outlets. Too many search engines. He couldn’t discredit them all. He could not lock up the outlets with lawsuits. His attorneys could not even figure where to process serve half of them.
Email demand letters apparently landed in junk inboxes. They ran stories despite his legal threats.
His brother was always considered the honest one. People trusted him. Even this man trusted him. His brother passed some time ago. He thought so high of him he gave him the White House for his wake. Even the media respected his brother enough to not make a big fuss of the unprecedented move.
Now he is only left with what he recognizes as disloyalty.
His opponent was not a bad man. An opportunist? Sure. Everyone takes advantage. The irony was he saw his opponent’s misdeeds firsthand. He also saw back biting with his own eyes.
He wonders what people would say if they knew how many times this man with his vice president elect sought his approval.
He wonders what people would say if they knew how many times, he tried to kiss the ring.
He wonders what people would do if they realized he was paid by his old colleagues.
He wonders how this man got the better of him.
How many times will people ignore his gropes? His advances? His photographed kisses of other people’s wives?
He now stares at his utter defeat. The system worked against him. His only hope now is a legal defense to discredit his own victory.
No one realizes it’s not the presidency he’s fighting for. It’s his freedom.
A VICEROY’S CELEBRATION
A man in a mask walks with a calm demeanor. He moves through his campaign headquarters. Everyone is half awake but full of excitement. People applaud as he walks. He waives them off.
“It’s not over until every vote is counted.”
He continues down a staircase. His wife passes him and smiles.
He sees a staff advisor. She starts to waive her hand. He saw her before. He tries to think.
Damn. Can’t remember.
He walks to her. He likes what he sees. She goes to shake his hand. His eyes see something besides a hand. Their distance closes.
He hugs here intensely. He takes off his mask without asking. She loses her breath. He catches it with a kiss on the forehead.
The woman’s face fills red. Everyone applauds. They pose for a photo opportunity. Her husband’s eyes nod away her red. His eyes are tight with purpose. She flusters. Then recomposes. She forces a smile. They all take pictures.
The man puts back on his mask and walks over to the husband.
“You have a good wife.”
The husband forces a smile.
“Thank you Mr. President Elect.”
The man walks through to his office. He closes his door. He starts to the desk he commanded through the pandemic. He takes a seat at his desk. He was once a viceroy. He sat many times junior to a junior.
How many times did he want to say what to do? He never could. Everyone always patiently waited for him to finish. But no one every took him serious. Now it is his time. Now he can fix this.
His family legacy won’t be 47 years of back door dealing. His family legacy won’t be the marginal consultancy payments.
His family legacy won’t be overseeing a 2008 housing crisis. His family legacy won’t be justifying some of the lowest substantive bill passage rates over 8 years. His family legacy won’t be witnessing an American Economic catastrophe of 3 trillion dollars on the sideline.
His family legacy won’t be about legally contracted deals on foreign soil…well mostly legal.
Well he guesses it depends on what year the deal was done. All that matters is it was legal when it was done. Who cares what the law says now?
The man lights a cigar. Fire. The smoke embers burn a bright hue. He sees his opponent on a Television screen. Full of hate. Full of distraught. Full of anger.
He stands. He paces in front of the screen. Then he stops. He pulls a deep drag on his cigar.
He blows smoke into the screen.
“How does it feel to have to beg for my pardon now?”
The man smiles a snarky smile.
