Colin makes a point to emphasize a point that was severely under appreciated, and maybe not too emphasized. Exploring paths “off the beaten path” that are “unconventional” make those adhering to rigid frame works uncomfortable. Colins desire to “win” and “succeed” at all costs while maintaining ethics (as all he did was contact investors and email judges) is the main catalyst for success. Michael Jordan was completely unconventional and he went on to be arguably the best ever. Remember criticism will be harsh, especially from appointed leaders, but in the end those are the ones typically forgotten. Well written Colin.
